Mission

KSWH is a non-commercial 100-watt radio broadcast station that is committed to serving the students, faculty and staff at Henderson State University as well as the surrounding community. Our station is dedicated to providing and educational and functional environment to the students who work directly with the station. We strive to prepare students for careers involving media in the professional environment. This is achieved by broadcasting to the community on a twenty-four hour/seven-day-a-week basis and maintaining facilities that are FCC compliant.

Description

The primary function of KSWH is to provide a practical hands-on training environment to students interested in entering the field of radio broadcasting. Our station is the heartbeat of Henderson State University and is owned and licensed to the university Board of Trustees. We are a student-operated, educational, non-commercial radio station. The station’s frequency is currently 102.5FM and it streams online at kswh.caster.fm, both of which broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.* The music format is variety with an emphasis on rock and independent music. In addition to music, KSWH frequently informs listeners of local and national news, sports, and events.
